GIULIA & SIMONE

Our story is very long to tell and it goes through the changes in the world of image and communication.
It all began in the 1970s, precisely in 1971 when Simone Bassani came into existence. His path quickly led him to study programming and, well before the birth of Giulia, he graduated as a developer at the age of 13. In the following years he matured his passion for photography, art, research and innovation dedicating himself to everything that could make him grow humanly and professionally. Abandoning his engineering studies, he has devoted himself to professional photography since 1994. In those years Giulia she is still a child, studying and having fun in a completely different world. In antithesis to Simone she grows up in a larger city, with art surrounding and absorbing her and the knowledge that she has a purpose in life. Her path led her to undertake studies in journalism then, for personal reasons, she decided to leave this path to pursue a more intimate one that resulted in a passion for visual communication and. therefore, photography.
Our union was born in 2016 in a different context than today and led us to understand and learn from each other in order to grow both professionally and humanly.
Our story continues and evolves day by day and is enriched by experience, passion, friends and partners.

OUR HISTORY

Giulia Conciatori

Giulia Conciatori, born in Rome in 1985, grew a deep love for photographic art through the influence of a family immersed in art, photography and journalism. From a young age, the artistic environment at home and the stern critic she found in her father shaped her artistic and professional path. Her decision to move to London marked a significant period of growth, allowing her to immerse herself in a culture where prejudices seem to be nonexistent and to further refine her photographic style and skills.

Giulia thus left her academic training in the vicinity of her bachelor's degree in Communication, Information and Marketing at LUMSA to study professional photography at the Roman School of Photography and Film. This academic background made her a versatile and sought-after professional in the field of photography and content management, continuing to explore and innovate in the way images and content come together to tell powerful and visually engaging stories.

Since then, she has dedicated her career to capturing moments, expressions and forms in both portrait and design photography. Moving to Milan, she continued to develop her career working with clients such as Leica Camera Italia, Cellnex, and many others.

In parallel to her work as a photographer, Giulia took on the role of CMO at TheSpack, where she is a co-founder and has been defining market objectives and distribution strategies, since April 2018. She also worked as Senior Content Manager for Freelance Marketing and Creative Services until December 2021, managing and publishing content for websites and social profiles. This further expanded her skills in content management, strengthening her ability to combine visual art with effective communication strategies.

Simone Bassani

Simone Bassani, born in 1971, discovered photography at an early age, influenced by his travels around the world and direct contacts with artists and gallery owners. This early exposure fueled a deep passion for art, research and, unusually, computer science.

After taking a professional programming course when he was only 13 years old, he became fully immersed in photography and, at 16, began developing multivisions using advanced technologies. His career took a significant turn when, after leaving his studies in Business Management Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, he met his first mentor, Giovanni Ricci, a well-known photographer in the field of art, who passed on valuable knowledge to him.

In 1992 Simone started working as an assistant and consultant for Ludovica Sagramoso Sacchetti and Alberto Longari, participating in the development of campaigns both for eminent clients such as Artemide, UBI Cademartori, Salumi Beretta, Arimo, Mattel and many others and for renowned international agencies. Parallel to his studio work, he collaborated with the agency Franca Speranza, producing travel reports published in prestigious international magazines. He also continued to expand his expertise by collaborating since 1996 with fashion designer Luciano Padovan, producing advertising campaigns published in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire and Elle.

His training in digital image management, acquired from industry experts such as Sergio Piol and Massimo Ontani, led him to specialize in managing photographic workflows, from preparation to final print. Since 2001, as a consultant to Magnetic Media Busto Arsizio, he has extended his experience to training high-level graphic designers and retouchers, managing complex workflows and color profiling, serving clients such as Clerici Tessuto, Litorama and the John Kaverdash School.

In 2004, he diversified further by joining Valenti Digital Service, where he developed the graphics area and attracted a large clientele, working with brands such as Olympus, Leica, Toshiba, Tamron, Tamrac, MV Agusta, FBM, Shedclub, Altachiara, Les Maisons des Alpes, Skitch, Flex-Car and many others and collaborating on projects for Panasonic and Dell. From 2006 to 2008, together with Andrea Duma, he planned, developed, and managed the startup and communication activities of the children's supermarket chain Bimbostore.

After his experience with Valenti Digital Service ended in 2013, Simone chose to continue as a freelancer in the digital image industry. Between 2015 and 2019, he was a Leica Ambassador, working closely with Leica Camera Italia. In 2019, with Giulia Conciatori , he presented TheSpack, a project summarizing more than twenty-five years of experience in the field of digital imaging, at the Leica Gran Tour.

Recently, since 2020, Simone has begun to explore artificial intelligence, creatively applying it in his projects, marking a new chapter in his continuous professional development in the field of digital innovation.
